If you hadn’t heard, Monique and I have been married for 10 years this month. We’re celebrating by going to Europe! I’m in London right now as I type this. I’ll try to post more here, but I’ll at least post to flickr. So keep your eyes on that!
Picked Up A New Lens

Last night (Wednesday) I had a good Craig’s List experience. I’ve heard some horror stories about people selling/buying things on there so I figured I’d post about a good transaction. I’ve had the Canon 28-135 EF IS USM lens on my Amazon wishlist for about a year. With the Europe trip coming up I figured I shoudl go ahead and pull the trigger on it myself. The best deals were on used lenses, and Craig’s List had the best of the used prices. So for a mere $300 bones I was able to buy it from an amateur photographer in Westminster. Ironically, he purchased it just before his Honeymoon, also to London and Paris! He was a really nice guy, and the lens is awesome. Not only was he $40 under the lowest price I’d seen, but he also threw in a UV filter! Cool!
Lake Arrowhead After Dark

This weekend we made our annual trip to Lake Arrowhead with Tim and Shana. This is the fourth trip and third different cabin we’ve rented up there and we always have the best time. This time we stayed in a cabin named Nadelhorn (for the street it was on) and it had a wonderful view of the lake from any of its three balconies.
This photo was one of the few hundred we took while we were up there. The rest will be showing up on flickr soon, along with an explanation of the feast that’s been the tradition the last two visits. But I’ll leave that for Monique to provide. Shana and her always amaze with their kitchen talents, and this year we had a 5-course meal with wine pairings that were amazing.
