Picasa 2

At work I was looking for a quick organization tool for images that I have on my laptop and ran across Google’s “Picasa.” What a great piece of free software. In some ways this thing surpasses Apple’s iPhoto in features, and it comes really close in ease of use. There’s a really slick way to view all of your images that is structured by album, and a great way to re-size emails so they’re emailable to those with slower connections. While Picasa isn’t a gull fledged photo editor, it does have some quick filters and photo manipulation tools that come in handy. It doesn’t have all of the details that an iView Media Pro might have, but hey, it’s free and really easy to jump in and start using. If you’re a Windows user, and want a free, fast, and easy solution to organizing your photos, you may want to check out Picasa 2.

Microsoft has run out of things to make!

My buddy Mark pointed out an interesting link to me today. It’s a product that Microsoft is rolling out in Britain called the iLoo. I can’t believe it’s not a joke! Read all about it here.

Should we really be encouraging people to take longer to do their business in public? I mean, in your own home is one thing, but in public, I don’t think people will enjoy waiting around to use the head while someone else is in there surfin the net, even if they can check their email while they wait.

Kung Tunes updated!

Kung Tunes is a great little application, it’s over to the right there, letting you know what I listened to lately. That’s new. It used to just tell you what song I was listening to at the moment, but now it lists the current song, and the 5 songs played before that! And if I’m not listening to music (like probably right now) it’ll show the 6 songs I’ve listened to recently. Cool eh? If you have a mac, and want this kinda thing, pay Adriaan a visit at his site.
