No Baby Yet

We’re still expecting! I guess she wants to stay in there for awhile longer. We should have big news within a week though as we may not wait for her to make up her own mind.

Monique and I are enjoying being at home together. The holidays were nice and quiet and we’ve been staying home mostly. We got out yesterday to run some quick errands, but when you’ve got a tiny human on your front-side, it’s not easy to stay out in public walking around a lot. It amazes me how many people become the friendliest folks you’ve ever met when you are with child and so close to the big day. Pretty much everyone we came in contact with asks when the baby is due. Monique has lost patience with it I think as she didn’t gush with motherly love when she said, “last Sunday.” I think we’re ready for this ship to sail.

Becky was the same way. It sucks to be in the waiting game, but when the baby gets here it will be worth it.

As for the friendliness of people around you… that only increases with the baby being born. We have people come up to Jane and want to touch her and look at her. The problem is they are people at the grocery store and I don’t want them to touch my baby. I think people just gravitate towards babies some how. Good luck, we are excited for Baby Popp.

So close! I know the excitement you guys must be feeling. Ericka and I spent all last night in the hospital as our good friends were delivering their 3rd baby. He decided to pop out at 4:20 this morning! It was a long night, but seeing that little guy just minutes after he arrived made it worth it all. Blessings on the birth!!!
