Fatburger is Still Great

Today I was working out of our Glendale office and I met Cary for lunch. We drove to Fatburger in Woodland Hills to have some good eats. The bad news is the fries were cold. The good news is the burger was great, and the shake was even better. Per tradition, there was a jukebox there — but this one was wall-mounted, had a touch screen, and it was FREE! So I tested it’s catalog and found it had a pretty wide variety of music. The first three songs I put in were songs I have never heard in a public jukebox before:

1. I Think I’m going Bald by Rush
2. Cross-eyed Mary by Jethro Tull
3. Joining a Fanclub by Jellyfish

That’s some jukebox!

Wow! That is a pretty excellent juke. We’ve already visited our local Fatburger out here and it was, of course, excellent. While waiting for the food (to-go) I struck up a conversation with a stranger (folks are friendly here) and he told me that Montel Williams is putting in a whole bunch of In ‘n’ Out Burgers in Denver and Colorado Springs (like 20 of them or something). Not sure when that will happen, but I’m drooling already.

Once we would drink water, but now it must be shakes.

I love Fatburger, too, as do all good people, but the one I ate at on the Vegas Strip 2 years ago was kinda ho-hum. I’ll have to take the next opportunity to give FB another chance.

Hey Joe, glad to hear you enjoyed the location, food and jukebox in Woodland Hills. Keep an eye out for new burgers and shakes this year. There will be about 4 new ones introduced for a limited time. Right now Fatburger is serving a Maui Banana Shake and a Saucy burger made with A.1. sauce and pepperjack cheese. I want to let Jon know that he’s incorrect about Montel Williams. He is a Fatburger franchisee and definitely planning on opening more stores in the Denver area. Holy crap, Fatburger is watching!

Thanks Maria! …and if you’re still listening, the Fatburger in Orange, CA is way better than the one in Buena Park. We don’t go as much since we moved closer to the BP one as it’s not as clean and doesn’t give as good service. Fatburger rocks though, I now prefer it to In-n-Out and Fuddruckers, which is saying quite a lot.
