Grand Central Gives You ONE Number!

I’m trying out a new service (it’s in BETA) which gives you one phone number for all of the phones in your life.  So by calling this one number you’ll ring my work phone, my home phone, and my cell phone.  I just pick up the one I’m near, or let it ring and retrive your voicemail from any one of those phones OR any web connection.  I can even have groups so that people get different greetings if they’re Family, a friend, co-worker, or complete stranger. It’s all free during BETA, so why not try it?

What happens if I’m sick at home and someone is trying to reach you for work purposes? I don’t want to hear the phone ringing all day.

I’m thinking that I’m not going to like this. Maybe if you were single and lived alone.

It’s really configurable, so some of that can be solved, but yeah, I see where you’re coming from. We’ll see how the test goes. I have it so anyone that calls me from work won’t ring at the house, just on the cell and the work phone (both Glendale and Anaheim).
