I like iLike

Those iTunes users out there tho love the tracking ability of last.fm — there’s a very cool iTunes plugin (for both Mac and Windows) that feeds a site that takes what last.fm does (community, personal charts, etc) and makes a bit more sense out of it. The site is a lot faster than last.fm and has some cool new ideas and a very addicting name that tune game with leaderboards. Check it out.

    Have you tried Goombah. Similar to iLike but superior recommendations and free music. You can adjust your “adventure” setting to go more or less mainstream - very cool.

    Goombah’s all over the place with their UI and design. If they have a good product their web site sure ain’t doing a good job of letting people discover it. ILike has a great partnership with Garageband and it too offers “free music” — that is, music by unsigned bands that give away their music for free.
