Ready for Painting

Today the house painters arrive and start to work. They say it will take about 3 days to get it all done. We’re going with 3 different colors, and rather than describe them here you’ll just have to wait for pictures, or until you stop by and see it in person.

This weekend Monique and I worked on the house (surprised?). Specifically, we had our kitchen countertops and sink installed on Friday. On Saurday I installed a flat screen TV in the kitchen, we did prep work on the outside of the house for the painters which included cleaning out the side yard that needed a lot of attention. Then on Sunday I installed the shower doors in the master bathroom while Monique did some touch-up painting. Over the course of the weekend we also got some more unpacking done, but with so many home improvement projects going on, it seems like the unpacking is always a lower priority. That’s beginning to catch up with us since we’re starting to need things we can’t find that must still be packed. We still can’t find our Netflix movies!

Just a mention about sports… For the second weekend in a row I’ve enjoyed my teams doing well. The Sharks are into the 2nd round of the Stanley Cup playoffs, and won the first game of the series against the Oilers on Sunday! In F1, Michael Shumacher won his second straight race in as many weekends. I hope both of them can keep it up!
