Two Worlds About to Collide?

CNN is reporting that Disney is “in serious talks” about buying Pixar. There have been rumors for awhile about the deal between the two being renewed (This summer’s “Cars” is the last in their current agreement, which I’ve seen and it’s great — more on that later) but this would be something a bit different.

In addition to the purchase, CNN is reporting that Steve Jobs may even snag a seat on the Disney Board if this all goes through.

Personally I’m always cautious about a change this large, but Disney and Pixar seem to be a really good match. At least all of the movies they’ve released so far have been light years above their competitors. Guess we’ll have to wait and see how this one turns out.

Steve Jobs really is a genius. I think it’s exciting.

welp, the genius has landed… Disney bought Pixar today for 7.4 bajillon dollars. With money like that it shouldn’t take near as long to find Nemo next time.
