Christmas is officially over!

Saturday night we had another Christmas with my Dad and the gang. It was a fun night of talking cameras, eating some great food, opening presents, and of couse… FOOTBALL! They’re all into the pigskin this year like crazy because we all played in a fantasy football league this season. Our season is over, my dad took first place, he beat me by 2 points in the championship game! I guess the whole letting your kids win thing is over. I remember the first time I beat him at something, it was a 9-hole round of golf when I was a teenager… but that’s another story.
This story is about Christmas. Manger, wise men, murr, all that. Monique came away with some really nice gifts, as always this year, and we’re thankful for them. One great thing about delaying Christmas until mid-January is that I got iLife ‘06, which wasn’t out when ole St. Nick was chimney divin’. I haven’t had a lot of time to play with it yet, but there’s some really cool features that I can’t wait to mess with.
Tomorrow is MLK Day, and that means that I don’t have to go to work. YAY! Monique does, however, so I’m going to try to use tomorrow to cross a bunch of stuff off of our “to do” list as we get ready to put our house up for sale. If that’s news to you, then give me call and I’ll fill you in, but basically we’re moving out… if all goes according to the plan it’ll be a move date in March some time. We’re not looking for help moving, but we will be doing a lot of painting in the new place for those of you who have some time to kill. Oh yeah, the house we’re planning to buy is in Cerritos. Most of you have probably been there before. ![]()

January 17th, 2006 at 10:35 pmI like the idea of spreading out holidays. Most get pushed aside mere hours after the celebration. We finished our Christmas about a week into the new year. I like to make any gift giving event last a while…birthday, aniversary, you name it…give it at least a week or two. Of course any gift giving that takes place after Macworld Expo has great potential. Congrats on iLife…I’m still waiting for your big Mac post. As for me…there’s an Intel iMac with my name on it…just a few more pennies!
