House Workin’ Weekend

Kitchen Cabs
Starting off the weekend not feeling well on Friday, I was able to complete one of the web sites that I’ve been working on for the past month. It’ll launch later next week so stay tuned for that.

Also on Friday night, I started dismantling our kitchen cabinets. Our weekend goal was to take off all of the cabinet doors, paint all of the cabinets, and then put all the doors back on with new hardware. We didn’t quite get it all done, but we’re nearly there. I think we’ll be done on Monday or Tuesday night at this rate. The rain that came today slowed us down a little bit. It actually doesn’t look that different in this photo, but the color of the cabinets is now a bright white instead of a dull cream. It contrasts much better with the yellow walls and black appliances.

The kitchen is one of the last rooms in the house that we have yet to “do.” This cabinet thing is more of a quick fix for now. It sure kept us busy this weekend!

    You homeowners and your projects . . . don’t you long for the rentin’ days? (Answer: Not if you have my landlord . . . I report broken glass from a pool party and 3 weeks later it’s still there? Come on.)

    Them’s some tight cabinets, though. Hope you’re feeling better this week.

    The Cabinets look great!!!… You guys are kicking butt.. I totally can tell the difference!
