Movie Time

I had some time today to watch a couple of DVDs that I got for my birthday. We all watched The Fellowship of the Ring last night, and Star Wars Episode 2 today.
These new Star Wars movies are gorgeous, but that’s about all they are. The reasons I find for owning/watching them is the whole reputation of the story, and to see how they set up the original trilogy, not because they are good movies. Sad, really.
The Fellowship of the Ring is quite a different story. I loved that movie when I saw it in the theater and I dig it even more with the added 30 minutes of footage! Some of which help the story tremendously. If you’ve seen the movie, I’d recommend seeing it again with the added stuff.
