And the next American Idol is…

Warning: spoiler ahead!!!
Carrie Underwear! No surprise there. I was really pulling for Bo, but I figured Carrie would win. Oh well. Just like last season I’m puzzled why I watched so much of this show, but I’ll probably watch it again next season. What a phenomenon this thing is.

May 26th, 2005 at 9:45 amI feel the same way. Every year I swear I’m not going to waste my time, but I end up watching. This year, though, I got really bored. I hardly watched the last 3 weeks. I did love seeing David Hasselhoff – that was funny!

May 26th, 2005 at 10:53 amThis was a great season. I felt that season 3 really sucked at the time and this season (this being #4) just proved it even more. Who is Fantasia and who the heck cares? Not I. And I don’t even remember who came in second place that season. But I still remember a bunch of people from season 2… season 4 is like that again.

May 26th, 2005 at 11:49 amLast year was our first year watching. I really enjoyed this season…there was a lot of talent this time around and I’m sure we’ll hear from many of the contestants in the future.
I wonder if Bo had to sign anything for future stuff or if he’s free to sign a contract with another company. I’d like to know what they agree to when they go on idol.

May 26th, 2005 at 11:58 amI’m pretty sure they sign their life away. Fox would be dumb not to keep them under wraps if they strike any sort of chord with the voters. They can tell just how popular the contenstants are fro the counts. But who knows?

May 26th, 2005 at 4:42 pmIt sounds like they can’t sign with any other label until three months after the winner is crowned. I guess Clay Aiken hired a lawyer after his season.

May 26th, 2005 at 6:46 pmActually, Bo losing was probably the best thing that could have happened to him. Even if he is under the reign of “Idol” for now, he’ll probably have more creative freedom sooner, which would please his more supportive fans more.

May 26th, 2005 at 10:25 pmI have to say that in the world of American Idol that I was a fan of Bo’s, but I don’t think I’m gonna rush to download his stuff when it comes out. Stacked up against the competition in the show is one thing, but against the whole wolrd of choices in the music world, I don’t think he holds a candle. It will be interesting to see how the careers of these guys flourish (or not), though.

May 27th, 2005 at 7:53 amMaybe all the the 1st and 2nd place contestants can join together and make “From Justin To Kelly 2: Electric Boogaloo!” Now there’s a showstopper!

May 27th, 2005 at 8:44 amJoe – I’m right there with you. I enjoy the show. But seriously, when they were all singing, all I could think of was the auto tune program their producers will need! And I did enjoy Bo- I’m not sure if I think of him as a “rocker”. The “Nordstrom – like” sunglasses were too much. But hey- don’t listen to me – I voted for Clay the second year.

What’s up with this country bumpkin???
I wonder if a “rocker” will ever win. -

June 3rd, 2005 at 11:04 amI liked Bo Bice too… He was a cutie – had that southern gentlemanlylikeish charm. Let it be known that he or Clay Aiken may call me anytime.
Is gentlemanlylikeish a word?? Hmm…

June 3rd, 2005 at 2:33 pmThere’s just something about Bo’s eyes. I really liked his stage presence and gentlemanlylikeish charm as well. *wink*
Great voice too…I’d be interested in hearing what his music sounds like now that the season is over. I’d be surprised if he signed with the idol folks so maybe we’ll need to wait the 3-months so he can sign with another label?
