He’s got all kindsa time… all kindsa time… all kindsa time.

Chargers lost. They should have won, but they didn’t. Bummer. I’m sad on the inside because of it. But it was a great year, as they say! In fact, since I know they’re regular readers of this site, I’d like to congratulate the Chargers on a fine season. It’s a shame it had to end on a sour note, but I guess it only stings until Nate Kaeding kills himself. Then it’ll all be better. Just kidding Nate. It should never have been that close. But in Charger fashion, they had be bite all my fingernails off before the outcome was for sure. *wah!*

What the heck am I going to do now? The Sharks are still doing whatever they’re doing while the big dispute is going on. The Angels are too busy seeing how many city names they can cram into their title. Maybe it’s time to become an Anaheim Storm fan?

    Where to begin?

First of all, I’m not going to blame Kaeding. Sure he missed a 38 yard field goal, but considering the weather, I openly questioned Marty for calling three straight runs once he got inside the 25. I’m not saying to take a shot in the end zone, but maybe a couple of 5 or 6 yard in routes or slants. You know, high percentage passing. Yep, when it counted, Marty went back to Martyball, and it cost him.

On the other hand, I think Marty went insane in overtime. Consider: On their first OT possession, the Chargers have a 3rd and 1 inside their own 35. Yet they line up Brees in the shotgun, flanking him with Tomlinson and no Neal in sight. Everybody knew it was going to be a handoff, so why the need for chicanery? Why not just line up in the power I and allow the best halfback in football run behind the best blocking fullback in football? Easily the dumbest playcall of the game.

This just hurts because I’m nervous about the Bolts’ future. Not only because of the Brees situation, but next year’s schedule. They have road games in New England, Indianapolis, and Philadelphia next year along with Denver (where they never win). I’m afraid that it’s going to be very hard for them to repeat this year’s success.

Re: the storm, DO IT! Especially if you like watching the Sharks. Hockey’s my game and the Avs are my team, but when the natl lacrosse league came to Denver in the guise of the Colorado Mammoth, I gambled and it’s AWESOME! My Sharks fan boyfriend liked them too.

    And cheap. Really freaking cheap.

Too bad we live in Oregon now where there isn’t a single professional sports team of any kind. Yeah, I know, the Blazers. I said “professional.”
