Ecto is all better new!

BaconEcto is what was once called Kung Log. Heck of upgrade on the name, I think. But that’s not the news. The news is that Ecto 2 is out for mac!

Ecto is a shareware client that lets you update your blog without having to use the clunky HTML interfaces that come with blog software. While that works when you’re not at your main computer. When you use Ecto you gain a lot. Like the ability to use a WYSIWYG interface to format fonts and add pictures simply by dragging! Like the one I’ve got sittin’ here. It’ll make thumbnail for you that clicks to a pop-up with the bigger version of the photo in it if you’d like too. It also gives you stuff like spell check, the ability to put what song you’re listening to at the moment in your message (like this: Peace and Love from the album “Welcome Interstate Managers” by Fountains of Wayne), and a ton of other changes. All rolled up in to a kick butt interface that resembles an email program, so it’s all familiar and stuff.

There’s a version of ecto for Windows too, if you’re so inclined (read: scared to buy a mac) ;-) .

    I’m seeing some disturbing images here . . . 1) dark syrup–presumably liquid bacon (could be motor oil)–being poured on some good looking eggs. 2) A crazy woman’s floating head. 3) A Japanese “rising sun” behind it all. Oh, did I mention the name BLUMP is in there too?

    Other than that, Ecto sounds like great. Yeah! Maybe I’ll peep dis sometime today.

    Wow – Squeezable Bacon – how on earth could they do that. What must it taste like? It looks disgusting!
