Fantasy my Aunt Fanny!

Week 2I thought fantasies were supposed to be good? This week in my fantasy football league I went head to head with Pat, and just barely lost. I fell to a 1-1 record in this young season by coming up 3.13 points short of a victory. That’s one tackle! The interesting part is that all of Pat’s players played on Sunday while I had one more player to play on Monday night. All he needed to do was get 40 points and I’d get the win. My player came up just short, and two plays really stuck out in deciding the game. One was where my guy had the opposing QB in his grasp and let him get away. That would have been 15 points for the sack! Then there was a play where my dude tackled a receiver on the other team as he was falling into the endzone for a score. Those tackles don’t count because he didn’t stop the guy from scoring. Doh! I think Pat may have paid him off. So I suffer my first loss of the season. Ouch! There will be a rematch with Pat in Week 9!

Of course, I went through what every fantasy “coach” does every week. “I should have played this guy” or whatever. There were plenty of mistakes I made this week, mostly having to do with my running backs and starting the wrong ones. Hopefully my luck will change next week, as I play Rich, who is one of the 3 undefeated teams left in the 8 team league.

As far as your luck changing, let me be the first one to say, “Nope!”
