The Lighter side of Chicken

Sure, you can focus on the whole PETA thing with KFC, but I prefer to look on the funny side of chicken. For those who haven’t seen it, and there may still be a few of you left, you must experience subservientchicken.com. It’s actually a Burger King ad, but a very subtle one and worth the click. It’s your very own chicken to command to do what you’d like. You can tell him to do anything and odds are he’ll do it. I just told him to “build a fort” and he did. I also tried “act like a dog” and “watch TV” and he did those too. Crazy.

August 7th, 2004 at 1:34 pmPretty cool. I told him to “break something” and he just stood there; told him to “breakdance” and he did a little dance move. He just sat down when I told him to “flip the couch over,” but he did turn off the lights when I asked.
The URL at the site is misspelled, but the page title is correct. Very strange!

August 9th, 2004 at 7:54 amOkay . . . I told this chicken to do drugs, and all he did was get on the floor and do a couple of pushups. Then I told him to cook, and he just scratched his head; eat dinner, and he came right up to the camera and pointed to his beak. I’m starting to think this should be called illdowhateveryouaskififeellikeitotherwiseilldowhatiwantchicken.com. But it’s still a neat site.

August 9th, 2004 at 9:40 amWell, it may be funny, but KFC isn’t! I have read that the additives they give their chickens cause major deformities when they are born – like no beaks. I have a great lentil soup recipe for you if you want to change your KFC ways – ha-ha!!!

August 9th, 2004 at 8:41 pmOh, I’ll take the lentil soup anytime you wanna make up a batch.. But I can’t quite kick the KFC habit. Besides, is it really cruelty if it’s not real chicken anyway?

August 10th, 2004 at 1:18 amWatching him build a fort was funny. I also chuckled at his attempts to stand on his head. But I’m pretty creeped out about those bestiality commercials you get when you click on the “Subservient TV” link.
