Workin Man

I’m up early and about to leave for the second of three days of photo shoots at work. We’re re-designing the site yet again and we’re needing new media for a lot of it. Sooo… today we’re shooting some hotels, with models. I guess this is where the director part of my producer position kicks in. Lights, Camera, Nachos! …it that how that goes?

I need coffee.

    Yikes – I had to be in at 7:00 too. Did you hear Monique’s phone ring this morning at 6:20? I hit the speed dial by mistake!! At least I didn’t wake you up!

    I hope your models don’t have sleep crusties in their eyes, or pillow marks on their faces. What do people normally call those excrescences that gather in the eye during sleep?

    Shana…we didn’t even hear the phone ring since my purse was downstairs. No worries!

    Arlen…I think people call that “sleep”. It’s not just a verb anymore. =p

    Wait…isn’t sleep also considered a noun in, “I went to sleep”? Heck, it’s been awhile since I’ve thought about this stuff.

    Anyway, I looked up sleep on dictionary.com and here is the description of the crusty stuff:

    Sleep (noun)
    “A crust of dried tears or mucus normally forming around the inner rim of the eye during sleep.”

    Good call, M. OED has for sleep (n.): “1.d. The effects or signs of sleep. Also spec., the solid substance found in the corners of the eyes and along the edges of the eyelids after sleep.” Down the way it lists “the repose of death.”

    I think I remember hearing them called “sleepers” growing up; couldn’t remember that word earlier today.

    I had a blast working with you today! I apologize that non of the models had sleep crusties in their eyes, but if you would of asked, I could of spit on all their faces and had them sit in the sun untill it crusted up. Next shoot I guess, right?

    Maybe next time I’ll be one of your P.A.’s because this modeling thing… well I’ve been cut from “Top Model” 3 times and I can’t bare a 4th.

    Oooooh to great people who actually know how to have fun, bananas in shorts to DCA-hole action to, how can we forget JoePopp.com!!!! “Joe is such a dream to work with” and “Mak is in need to use his Polarizer” and “Paammaaa, you put the Ma in massage” All good times, thanks for the laughs Joe and Mark! Your rock!!!! I could go on, but I think the more I think about it we may need more than one email for the three days.

    P.S.- Joe: Is there a way to get images up on JoePopp.com… we got some good ones LOL!!!!
