Ricci a Yote!

So we go up to San Jose this weekend, and since it’s not hockey season (and maybe never will be) I didn’t expect any Shark-related happnins. Nope. I’m checking in with Sportscenter on my bro-in-law’s nice new plasma TV and across the bottom of the screen scrolls what I THINK says that Mike Ricci was signed to a multi-year contract by the Phoenix Coyotes. Of course, I would give my kingdom for a tivo right then, since I wasn’t sure I read that right. so I sit tight and it comes up again with the bad news.

Mike Ricci was truly loved in San Jose, and even though he’s getting to the later stages of his career the back of his hockey card shows it, I would have thought that the Sharks would have kept him until he retired. I’m sure he’ll help the Coyotes out, because his heart is bigger than the mop on his head, so it’ll interested to see who the sharks promote to the center position he vacated. Of course, if there is hockey this fall (cross your fingers!).

    Boy am I going to miss seeing Ricci in a Sharks jersey! That man is all heart…and a cutie to boot. (Bite your tongue, Rich!)

    He was my favorite Shark. :(

    I TOTALLY agree Monique! He is a cutey and I am really going to miss him, he was my favorite Shark, too. BUT, think of how great he’ll look in those dark Phoenix colors… grrrr!
