Sharks have a series on their hands.

While we were at Mom’s on Sunday we watched part of the Sharks/Flames game. The Sharks lost in overtime 4-3 despite “out playing” the Flames, or at least that’s what the experts said afterwards. I don’t know that they outplayed them too much, they surely out shot them and out-chanced them, but I’ll leave the out played decision to the scoreboard. Hopefully the pucks will start going in the next next game. This should be a long series. If either team is to have a chance in the Finals, the Eastern Conference finals better be a long one too!
The Sharks sure have a great team this year, and as is usually the deal with the Sharks, there is no real stand out superstar. It’s great to see some of the younger guys grow up and become stars on their own though. It’s so weird to hear the national coverage of the games when the announcers say things like “the no-name Sharks” and “Who is this guy named Marleau?”. I’ve been watching these guys work as a team all year, and watching the Sharks as a team for over 10 years. I feel like I know these guys personally… where have these announcers been?

Man, ESPN Hockey coverage blows. The fact that this is the first time I’ve been able to see Jarome Iginla on their network tells me I need the Center Ice package next season (if there is a next season).

ugh.
By the way, I have faith that the Sharks will turn things around on the road!
