Power Pop Purchases

Monique always gets on me about buying things near my birthday because then I take away from the things that others can get me, but I think I’m safe with this stuff since I doubt anyone knows they’re available.

I just ordered the new Splitsville album, which came out on Tuesday, but because their record label is not in the states, you have to order it online. Ugh. Oh well, I’ll get it in a week or so.

The other lovely item I ordered is the new Owsley album. His first is surely a desert island disc… great from start to finish. If you don’t have it you must pick it up too. To listen to a couple of samples off of the new CD, and even pre-order an autographed copy (like I did), check out notlame.com.

I’ve been waiting for these albums for quite some time. Now they both have to get their butts out here and start touring! I’ll update with some thoughts on each record when I get some listens in.

    I know what you mean, my wife always used to complain about that. Now I just have her buy my gifts early, when I want them. Then she complains about my not wanting anything else when my b-day comes. (I’m not complaining either)
