Early Birthday stuff

Monique took me away to Vegas for the past couple of days. We took Friday off of work and drove out Thursday night. The big surprise was that she had tickets to the Last Comic Standing Live! show at the Sahara on Friday night. The show was awesome! It had 3 or 4 comics that were on the show, but 7 comics in all.
This was my first time to see a comedy show live and it didn’t disappoint. Ralphie May headlined the show and he had Monique laughing so hard she was crying. Another favorite from the night was Rob Cantrell, who we’re definitely going to see again when he’s around these parts.
The show lasted about 2 hours, and we got to meet all of the comics after the show. We then ran into Ralphie at the cafe and shared a meal with him (okay, not really, but we were at the next table.)
We stayed in the Sahara, because it was where the show was, but in hind sight we probably should have stayed elsewhere. That place is OLD. Sure it was cheap, but I think next time we’ll shop around a bit more. The good thing about staying there is that we got all the jokes about it that the comics told (they didn’t hold back), and we weren’t in the room much, except to sleep.
We visited Caesar’s Palace (we had chinese there Friday night at Chinois), The Bellagio (probably the prettiest hotel on the strip), Mandalay Bay (saw the Shark Reef exhibit, which was cool), and some others. We had a lot of fun!

Not my first choice for our next stay, that’s for sure!
