Tuesday This or That

This weekly excercise is common among bloggers, so I thought I’d try it out, you may learn something about me… scary!
1. Do you answer the phone on the first ring?
If I’m sitting next to the phone, sure. But odds are I’m either distracted with something, or in another room, or have to do the thing where you have to FIND the phone first.
2. Which is worse: door-to-door salesmen or telemarketers?
Telemarketers. They’re evil.
3. Which is worse: the phone company or the oil company?
Oil, I suppose. But unlike a lot of folks, I’ve totally accepted that gas prices fluctuate. I don’t know enough about why it does that to be angry about it.
4. Cordless phone, cellular phone, or corded phone?
Yes, Yes, and yes. We have all three, but if I had to lose two, they’d be the last two. My cell phone is always on my hip. *GEEK!*
5. Phone number: write it down or remember it?
Mine? I can usually remember my own phone number. Others? I write it down with no name so I come back to the note and think, “What is this number for?”
6. When you tell a date, “I’ll call you”, do you mean it? Yes or no?
Of course! When Monique lets me date, I make it count!
7. Do you own one phone? Two? Three? More?
More. 3 in the house, and a cell phone.
8. Have you purchased anything by phone? Yes or no?
If by phone you mean doing all the reserach on the net, then calling because the idiots can’t make their ecommerce portion of their site work, then yes.
9. Have you ever called someone and then hung up before you spoke? Yes or no?
Yeah, if I dial the wrong number, then realize it right when the person says Hello, I’d rather not waste their time, or mine. I just hang up, they’ll figure it out.
10. Do you own an answering machine?
Yeah, it’s part of one of the phones. I don’t like it all that much, but I think it was at a time when I really needed something new and electronic. Our current answering machine was a little old, so that was a good excuse. The phone portion of that phone isn’t bad, though.
