A friend of mine is working for the company that owns the L.A. Kings. He’s in charge of their web efforts and asked me if I want to help them out this season. In exchange for 2 season seats, I would have to do some work on their web site (lakings.com). Sounds like great fun, and great perks too!

Although I wouldn’t dig the drive, I see my sharks a bunch, and I’d be able to see the innerds of the Staples center, and probably meet a lot of players and personnel. could be my next step in becoming a pro hockey player!

Okay maybe not, but it’ll keep me off the street! Nothing’s in stone yet, so I’ll update if it pans out.

    Yes, and if that doesn’t do the trick, you could always go back to school. That’s the only thing keeping me “off the streets and off drugs,” as the adolescent door-to-door salesmen used to tell me!

    Sounds very cool . . . you’ll have to bring your camera in there with you if you go into the Staples bowels. Nerdy, yes, but I’m sure players would be more flattered than indignant.

    Just to clarify, I want pictures of the bowels, not the players.

    Yeah… Very Cool, Joe!! I’ll be watching the site for any special Easter Eggs you might throw in. Maybe an AWM reference..heheh (JK).

    And Arlen, most kids go to college and end up doing drugs and then end up on the streets anyway.

    Scott! What happened to the AWM site? Are the lyrics lost forever or do you have them? It’s much easier nowadays for a punk ass like me to throw down some loops on my PC and give the world “Hit The Deck” in MP3!! But, I thought those lyrics might be long gone.

    I want to see pictures of players’ bowels. Get on it, Joe!

    Congrats, Joe! That’s so sweet, I’m not even going to ask you if Heather and I could use your seats if you have a game that you wouldn’t be able to make.

    Seriously, though. That’s way cool stuff. You’ll find that hockey players are just the nicest guys in all of sports. Real down to earth types. Well, except Theo Fleury. He’s a wanker. Also Todd Gill. He beats up teammates. Other than that, it’s all good.
