Manor House

It seems we don’t usually follow the trends with the reality series craze these days. We don’t watch Survivor, or Big Brother, or Joe Millionaire, or even American Idol. We have found a few that we dig in between the big names. One was the It Factor on Bravo, then came Frontier House on PBS, and most recently, Manor House on PBS. This Manor House show has just started, but PBS does it in three 2 hours shows, so it’s a mini-series at best. Tonight Monique and I watched the first episode and liked it a lot.
The plot is pretty cool… it’s about 1905 and a real family and 12 other volunteers make up the cast, the family acting as the owners of the house, and the volunteers acting as their staff. Everything is as it was at the time, and it makes for some interesting stories, along with some great information about the period and how living was then. It’s done very similar to how Frontier House was done, which was very well put together. I’d recommend both of them to anyone. Sick your TiVos on it!
