Wow, what a scare! During the floor installation yesterday morning, the installers left the door open and our cat Dusty got out. We didn’t realize she was gone until that evening… that’s when we got to work on scouring the neighborhood and putting up lost signs. That lasted until 5am which is when I collapsed. I only slept for 2 hours or so though, as it was time to get up and search some more. We got a lot of help from neighbors and friends, from physically getting out and helping look to helping keep our morale up. We searched all day and even visited the local animal shelter to look for her. I held off posting an entry here about it in hopes that she might turn up, and she did! I’m SO GLAD to have her back. I think we’re going to lojack her now to make sure this doesn’t happen again!
