But in a good way. Don’t get me wrong, I loves me some sunny Southern California weather, but when fall comes and it starts getting cooler I love throwing on some nice pajama pants and a sweatshirt and warming up. Tonight is the first night of the year for all that.
Oh! I’m watching an old Seinfeld episode and it’s the one where Kramer falls asleep on the roof after sunbathing with butter all over him, then Newman is so hungry he starts seeing things, and he imagines Kramer is a turkey. It’s also the one where George is caught faking his handicap when he gets in a race with other handicapped old people on their little scooters. Gotta be one of the best ever episodes. What a great show.
Oh, the Angels lost their first playoff game in 16 years tonight. It was one they should have had. I usually root for the Yankees to lose, but there’s so many more reasons to root against them this year: One is Giambi moving over to a team that he desperately wanted to beat last year, and saying he’s glad he’s on the other side of the fence now, and the other is that the Yankees are just one of those teams that spend every dollar possible to buy players to make a winning team so seeing them lose is cool. I know the debate is a lot bigger than I make it to be, since you could make a case that the Angels can spend more to be more competitive, but let’s make it simple and root for the underdog, eh?
