I guess they can’t win them all

Man, the Angels lost a tough one tonight in Oakland. Miguel Tejada hit home the winning run in the bottom of the 9th inning. That means that the Angels are tied for 1st in the AL West. They’ve come too far to screw this up now. C’mon Angels!

gotta go, my toast is done, I just heard the ding.

    What kind of toaster dings at you? Mine just goes *chunk* and throws up the finished product.

    Yep, mine too. Although I never know how dark the finished product will be. I guess it’s time for a new one. Well Joe, what’s the secret? Maybe it’s something new and innovative that I should keep in mind for my next purchase

    I was burning a CD with Toast (the CD burning software)! It makes this ever-so-sharp ding sound when it’s done burning a disc.

    Aha! Joe hits us with a breakfast metaphor! But that’s fine, because toast ISN’T just for breakfast, and by extension I feel we should be able to use the word in whatever scenario life is pleased to hand us. “Toast”ing a CD is merely one example.

    I’m now going to return to my own stack of toast (i.e., freshman papers).
