Nope. Not the mac. Nope, not the PS2 network adapter. It’s something I ordered about 10 months ago, the Jellyfish Box Set!!!! YEAH!
I can’t express how great it is to have all of the rare stuff, live songs, and demos all in one collection from one of your favorite bands of all time. Jellyfish changed the way I listened to music, a trend that continues today. Everything that I listen to seems to wind up being compared to them somehow.
Not Lame put out this wonderful collection, and if you’re a Jellyfish fan, you need it. Even if you think you have all of the demos, this package paired with the audio quality of the songs is impossible to match. Here’s the track listing if you’re interested.
In the packaging, Adam Gimbel, a fellow fan wrote a great note about what Jellyfish has meant to him, and continues to mean to him, it had some lines in it that I so identify with, like “This band made you want to join their fanclub and eagerly await stickers, buttons, photos, member bios disguised as Mad Libs…They made you want to buy music you already owned because it came with 3-D glasses, a pop-up, a baby’s diaper, or a clear, soft-gelatin sleeve filled with glitter.” and this quote about seeing Jellyfish live, “I can still vividly remember how it felt when that first harmony hit me in the chest. Unreal.”
Too cool.
